I've noticed a number of duplicated reports happening lately, so I thought I'd drop this little tip.
Go here : http://www.uodemise.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=25 This is the same as clicking on the "Bugs and Fixes" forum catergory from the main forums. From here, if you use the Search This Forum feature, it will search ALL of the sub forums (Unhandled, testing, ready, invalid, or complete) for your search string. This should reduce the number of duplicated posts. Thanks! Creator of UOGamers: Demise(Retired) The RunUO.com Forum Moderator Team Quality Control Czar |

In addition for this, if you are looking for specific types of projects, the naming of the threads is using a consistant formation using the square brackets and only certain phrases.
For example, if you are looking to test some patches to see if they work, you can do the following: 1. Click Search 2. Click "Advanced Search" 3. In the keyword box, type in "[TESTING" (use the quotes!) 4. In the dropdown below the keyword entry box, select to search titles only 5. Go to the bottom right of the search options and click the main Bugs Forum in the list of all available Demise Forums 6. Be sure searching subforums (below the forum list) is checked 7. Click Search This will bring up a list of all the threads that are curently in [TESTING] status. Be sure to use the most updated patch to test. The same goes for searching "[VALIDATION" "DEVELOPMENT]" "[CODER" This can help identify exactly what you are looking for in regards to what you are wanting to do: see what needs tested, may need tested, or need a coder. We are getting a lot of new reports and the older reports are getting pushed down the list. So, if you are looking for a new project, it is helpful to work on something that has already been reported than something you think up and has to go through the VALIDATION process. Note: Avoiding projects that are not popular will not help anyone because they will get coded eventually by a staff member.... so, might as well bite the bullet and get it in now instead of having 20 unpopular changes go in at once.
