A small update was put in place Sunday, June 29, 2008 requiring server downtime. Several changes are included in this update, including:

PLAYER RELATED
- Fixed Wraith Form mana leech bug
- Access to the Trammel Star Room now available
- Blue books corrected to be 40 pages
- New Haven moongate relocated
- Correction made to Evasion
- Nerve Strike paralysis now uninterrupted for 2 seconds
- Houses can no longer be placed where an IDOC has recently fallen
- Issues related to pet skill caps corrected
- Strong boxes now have (and maintain) correct name and weight

NON-PLAYER RELATED:
- Various backend changes to improve shard functionality
- Functionality and commands added for staff

Players will also have to update to the most recent client.

The server may have to come up and down a couple times after to ensure all changes were made correctly and functioning properly. This post will update should any changes occur.

6/21 Shard Crash: Item Questions ( 7 Replies )

Unfortunately, the shard crashed and I have no specifics as to why or how much of a revert we experienced. This post is for those who feel they should have items returned to them that were lost during the revert.

Many people are questioning if they can have their items returned to them that they lost due to a revert. The answer is no. There are several situations in which a player may lose items and it is staff policy that these items are not replaced. A shard revert is included as one of these situations. We have no way to verify whether or not you truly obtained these items (it was a revert.... that data was lost) so there is no way we will hand items out based on "but I got this and then the shard reverted."

I'm sorry that this is probably not the answer you want to hear, but it is the answer. I understand the frustrations associated to something like this; however, be thankful this is not something that happens frequently.

We are currently experiencing a network issue with our upstream provider (Time Warner Telecom). This issue is a regional issue and is not limited to just our servers. We have a ticket open with them and will update you as soon as we have any information. This issue started at approximately 10:26 AM EST.

Demise server wars will now be weekly. Server wars will start at 2 AM Sunday EST (11 PM Saturday PST) and last for 30 minutes.
